Abstract |
The purpose of the study is to examine the students’ expectation and satisfaction on VR as a learning tool and to provide some suggestions based on the result. A total number of participants is 210 who are freshmen and sophomores in A university. For the study pre- and post-surveys and the task products of the students were collected and analyzed. The experiment was conducted for 5 weeks and the VR application, Google Expeditions is utilized for experiencing VR. According to the result, the findings are as follows. First, most students don’t have experience on VR but they have positive attitudes about the effect of VR. Also, pre- and post-surveys showed significant results in class participation, but there is no significant results in class interests and the VR usefulness. Therefore, the study offered some suggestions for educators who design VR curriculum. First, teachers should provide opportunities for learners to interact actively during the VR activities. Next, It can be effective if VR is used in appropriate stage when applied in existing classes. Thirdly, the development of the educational VR contents is necessary. Lastly, continuous technical support and education are needed for preparing the rapid changes of science technology |
