Abstract |
A ‘problem-based WAC course for critical thinking’ can be defined as one that teaches critical thinking by not only using PBL(Problem-Based Learning) but also taking advantage of various forms of writing tasks. This study primarily aims to inform readers in what process I have run this kind of PBL+WAC course for critical thinking. I am going to, at first, emphasize the significance of the ‘problem’ in critical thinking education, secondly, introduce various forms of writing tasks that can be utilized in WAC course, thirdly, give an overview of how various kinds of writing tasks was grafted organically onto the problem-based learning activity in my course, fourthly, go into detail of each writing task one by one, and lastly, reflect the fruits and limitations of the course model. I expect those writing tasks I will have specified to become a good guide to lead students to do critical thinking actively. |
