Abstract
of Dae gu university is a subject, the purpose of which is a connection of reading great books and writing book reviews. In this paper was recommended the way to apply the J. Keller’s ARCS model in classes for lessening the students’ burdens to read several great books and motivating to write book reviews. Especially, to inspire students’ motivation, confidence, and satisfaction, in this paper was emphasized the way to connect the curriculum, and extra-curriculum, . To succeed the connective program, should be paid attention to not the number of books to read, but the book review’s quality. In addition to that, DU great books reviews should be given incentives for more students to apply for the contest. Also, professors’ feedbacks should be offered to study and research book reviews intensively. For the success of this program, DU University college professors and librarians should collaborate together, for example, professors could judge applicants’ reviews and give them feedbacks, and librarians would run the extra curriculum program, DU reading marathon contest effectively.
