Abstract |
This research investigated the possibility of humanity and liberal arts class-related local volunteering activity through examples of activity of ‘humanity talent donation team’. This activity led local elementary, middle and high school students to have interest in humanities and planted a positive view to college volunteering to local community. Team members could get the effect of relearning the humanity and liberal arts class, realize the ‘sharing spirit of community’ while teaching students from the local alienated class and have the time to meditate the purpose and value of humanity and liberal arts. Especially the biggest result might be that it became the chance for team members to think of their future and raise their self-recognition and self-esteem. This self-affirmation will play the central role in discovering the significance of college life and developing the responsibility as a social ego.
In the future too, colleges should keep going to realize the ultimate goal of college education, cultivation of active and responsible men of ability, while raise the image of college in the community by taking part in the practical field of education as a group of community. |
