| Abstract |
|
There has been wide recognition that the academic advising continues to be of central issue in higher education. This study reviewed American academic advising organization and the academic advising system in Soongsil University in order to provide insights on the future direction of academic advising delivery system. The results suggest that academic advising system in Korea should be organized in post-conventional view. Also, higher education professionals should consider the various characteristics of their university and students to design effective academic advising system. Finally, korean universities should review and monitor the process of academic advising and continue to expand academic advising system for students to develop both academically and socially. |
