Abstract
The purpose of this research is to deal with writing using university museum as an example of college writing management. University museum is located in university and serves as cultural and educational space where college students can have easy access. However, up to now, it’s very hard to find the case of using this facility for educational purpose in college writing. Korean college students have experiences in visiting national public museums during middle school and high school and writing various types of writing for this. If systematic writing program can be developed or connected in college writing, students can feel less pressure about writing class, be naturally interested in writing, and learn more general principles. Because students can choose subjects and have various ideas to elaborate in writing, active and creative can be possible. In this research, this kind of view is noticed, and the case of using museum for writing in college writing class at Sunmoon University is suggested. Through the suggested methods in this research, I hope that this research can help students’ interests and ability in writing to improve.
Key Words: University Museum, college writing, Sunmoon University Museum, active and creative writing
