The Effect of Havruta Teaching Methods on University Students’ Individual and Group Creativity

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore how Havruta teaching method affects Korean university students’ individual and group creativity. For the attain of this purpose, after to have developed and applied ‘education meet with movie’ as subjects for general education with debate methods or Havruta methods, to examined the impact this methods on individual and group creativity by pretest-posttest. The main results of the study and suggestion are as follows: First, test result was that the scores of creative ideas of both debate methods group and Havruta methods group were significantly high on group creativity. Particularly, because testing result was that the scores of group’s creative ideas of an Havruta methods group were significantly higher than a debate methods group, it suggested that apply to Havruta on diverse subjects to improve group creativity. Second, test result was that the scores of creative ideas of debate methods group were significantly low on individual creativity. And that the scores of individual creative ideas of Havruta methods group were significantly high, but this impact were lesser than effect on group creativity. By the same token, it have proposed that education for creativity must be made a division activity to improve individual creativity and activity to improve group creativity. And it’s not betterment of group creativity are naturally turned out to be as were increased of individual creativity, it suggested that do later study about teaching strategies enables to connect both.
