Abstract |
This study is designed to propose a book review writing lesson model using thesis as a lesson sub-model, when operating lessons with a view to make academic writing in a subject of cultural writing in the university.
A book review writing is significant in boosting analytical skills and critical ability of learners as it shall include not evaluation of given text at a level of simple appreciation, but logical evaluation. These analyses and critical power are such qualifications as to be equipped in communicating with each other in this discourse system by learners having entered the university, a community of learning & discourse. This study is designed to propose a book review writing lesson model using thesis. The thesis to be developed by a logical way of thinking is a reading text to extend the critical power and analytical skills at the same time, which is a suitable for performing an academic writing in the university in the point that it enables to become accustomed to discourse method in the community of college learning and can indirectly inspire a sense of ethical writing into learners. The book review writing lesson model using thesis is conducted greatly at five steps.
To perform a book review writing using thesis as academic writing is significant in a sense not only to boost the analytical power and critical skills for learners, freshmen at college, but also to experience writing with connection with field of their major. |
