Abstract |
A study is proceeded from concern and sorrow about literature infrastructure’s extinction that does not teach and sympathize with literature to university students. In university, Things that are unteachable and incapable of learning of literature are a sign of literature education’s crisis. If then, now does not exist literature’s footing in university podium, Days university students are addicted to or enjoy literature in classroom are behind us? This paper based on these problems and questions looks into ways of invigorating literature education in classroom from grafting of composition education and literature education. This paper reconstructs teaching method not aspect of ‘education’ but in terms of ‘play’. And I considerate literature’s concept of imagination, I developed emotional education program by combination of ‘fictional-event’ in novel and ‘play in the real world’.
In this study in chapter 2, I considerate interrelationship of literature and play. And then I seek for application possibility of ‘play’ as strategic device for emotional education. Also, I reconstructed literature education’s meaning as educational methodology based on application of ‘play’. In 3 chapter, I developed emotional education program applying to play’s method for novel as typical narrative. First, in chapter 3 section 1, I designed learning model based on play as strategic device that learner can experience narrative. And then section 2, I developed ‘narrative play’ program. It’s constructed a set of ‘narrative situation’ and ‘narrative play as a performing activity’.
These studies specifically suggest teaching-learning program applying to ‘play’ and provide a real model of emotional education in general education. As a result these studies propose new direction about literature education as general education. |
