Abstract
The core competency of university has become the important concept of curriculum. In this trend, Korea Collegiate Essential Assessment has greatly contributed to accumulating critical data in operating curriculum. The competency of communication is one of core competency factors that each educational institution emphasizes. When it is performed in main curriculum , its efficiency can be improved. The starting point of this study is to recognize the weak competency points in the way of analyzing the K-CESA diagnosis data of previous year. An enhancement plan was approached in the categories of main curriculum and extra-curriculum. In the main curriculum, it is necessary to enhance the area for improving the sub factors of the communication competency, and in the extra-curriculum, it is necessary to perform continuous education through relevant activities. After the plan for enhancing core competency, a level of competency improvement was analyzed on the basis of the diagnosis result of core competency, and its application was sought
