Computational Thinking Education Teaching Method Research for Non-Major Subjects

CT education for non-majors should be differentiated from that of majors, and efficient teaching methods are required. The paradigm shift to the learner-centered teaching method is more necessary than the traditional injection method. The learner develops problem solving ability in the process of discussing the team, finding out the problem and practicing it. The A teacher encourages the accomplishment of the learner performing the project in the communicator of knowledge It must change into a role as a helper that can turn the failure back into rebirth. In this study, we investigated the process of computing thinking and the process of computing thinking for non - major subjects and designed learner - centered class for CT education. The contents of this study are as follows according to the necessity and purpose of research. First, we explore the CT components and features for computer thinking education and the cognitive aspects of CT and problem solving process. Second, we investigate the characteristics of learners in order to develop the strategy of instructional design. Third, we explore the direction and strategies for the development of CT education model through analysis of previous research on action learning (Learner - centered teaching and learning). Fourth, action learning teaching method for improving computer thinking ability is designed through case study of action learning teaching method of computer subject. The instructional model designed in this study is not limited to specific problems. This study can be useful in that it is a generalized instructional design rather than a changing instructional design depending on a given problem. In addition, it has the characteristic that it naturally improves the communication ability while carrying out the task according to the team, and can develop the ability to cope with various problems with the team members. Therefore, it is expected that it will be useful as a teaching model to raise creativity, communication ability, and digital thinking ability necessary for the change of the fourth industrial revolution.
