Abstract |
This paper attempts to explore how best to promote and enhance effective creative learning course which is regarded as an innovative education model beyond the limit of traditional knowledge transmission model of education. More specifically, this paper is a descriptive case study of Phronesis Seminar Ⅱ: Creative Challenge & Self-Improvement , which is a general course based on self-directed learning at Inha University. The purpose of this course is to provide opportunities for students to augment their academic interests and new educational experience and to promote convergent thinking and challenge spirit. During this course, students will take initiative for all stages of the learning process and acquire learning experience in collaboration with peers. This study is suggestive that successful creative learning course requires certain responsibilities or roles of both students and teacher. This study will contribute to confirm the importance of student-initiated education and to explore the appropriate direction of creative education in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. |
