Gender Training to Enhance University Students’ Gender Sensitivity - Focusing on curriculum

Abstract
This paper is to search for the direction and significance of education to enhance university students’ gender sensitivity. For this purpose, the necessities of gender sensitivity and the implications of gender training were taken into consideration in this research, and the examples of gender training applied into women’s studies as university liberal education were analyzed. This gender training research was proceeded into three different approaches. Firstly, based on the notional apprehension of gender, the impact of gender problem to each students’ life was considered. Secondly, the gender sensitivity training against discriminations helped us to deeply understand the meaning of “differences” and “discriminations”. Finally, comprehension of gender norm leaded to obtain the willingness of individual and social change. This research is substantial due to the search for the significances and methods of liberal education developing gender sensitivity in university society
