Abstract |
This study explored the relationship vocational interests types, intelligences and academic achievement of engineering students. A survey containing questions about vocational interests types, intelligences and academic achievement was administered to a sample of 222 university students in Daejeon. The results show that among six interests types men and women have significant differences. In six vocational interests types, men and women have significant differences on Social, Conventional, Realistic, and Artistic types. Also there are not significant differences in intelligences measures. The relationships vocational interests types, intelligences, and academic achievement show that there are significant relations between concept projection tasks and Enterprising, Conventional, Realistic, Investigative types and academic achievement. There are significant relations between figure analogy and Enterprising, Conventional and Investigative types. Vocabulary test has significant relations on Conventional, Investigative, and Artistic types. |
