Abstract |
As liberal course has been established for students to accumulate the basic refinement as modern people equipped with the correct world view and healthy values, proper education should be provided.
Liberal art course is composed of art majors and students with diverse majors. As the existing liberal art course has focused on the understanding and appreciation, it should be expanded to the expression area called “creation” based on the understanding and appreciation. This study aimed to be helpful to form the correct values, by focusing on the improvement of creativity, satisfaction, and achievement through creative activity.
Targeting 130 students of liberal art course in H university from the 2nd semester of 2016 to the 1st semester of 2017, they learnt the concept and history of portrait and diverse portrait works by artists, and then they went through the process of understanding and appreciating these works. Through the creative process of producing portraits by objectifying themselves, it aimed to be helpful for them to have a chance to look themselves back, to introspect themselves, and to emotionally empathize/understand each other. |
