Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to compare the results of which is operated as a part of liberal arts education at Gyeongju Campus of Dongguk University and to share the performance of the program with other universities. Dongguk University Gyeongju Campus has been reorganized and curriculum of liberal arts curriculum has been selected as the 2011 ACE project. One of the best examples of the comparative programs started with the reorganization of the liberal arts curriculum, especially the comparative programs offered by the Ministry of Communication, which is an institution affiliated with liberal arts college (Paramita College), is the reading mentoring program.
The contents of this paper are as follows. First, I discussed the history and characteristics of the program at Dongguk University’s Gyeongju campus. For example, it has been shown that the use of the term “reading mentoring” no longer necessitates the use of the term “reading mentoring” as the mentoring and mentoring are operated in a horizontal relationship, not in a vertical relationship centered on mentors. In addition, program was able to establish a system that operates the program in cooperation with other relevant departments in the school, to share the results, and to see the synergy effect of spreading and reproducing the entire school. Second, I discussed how to operate and support the program . For example, the collaboration between the library and the Ministry of Public Administration, which mainly provide administrative support, and the Ministry of Information and Communication, which manages the quality of the program. Third, I discussed the operation contents of the program . This is different from existing reading programs in the discussion format which can be divided into five broad categories.
The results of this paper are as follows. The program was rated as one of the best examples of Irregular curriculum programs operated by our university. The reason for this is that the programs organized by one department have brought positive synergy effects through collaboration with related departments. And the operating case of the program seems to suggest that other universities are already operating or preparing to operate programs related to reading. |
