Abstract |
In college education, General education is now entering a stabilization phase. Therefore, discussion on General education should also be a transition to research for qualitative improvement. In this context, this study examined the correlation between the operating system of General education and the level of General education, focusing on the case of S University.
In Chapter 2, according to the criteria presented by Korea National Institute for General Education, this study classified the process of change of the dedicated department for General Education in S university, and diachronically examined the correlation between the operating system of General education at each stage and the curriculum of General education. In Chapter 3, it has examined the status of the curriculum of General education by comparing the curriculums of S University and other Universities and then suggested improvements. The fundamental problems in the curriculum of General education are caused from the fact that the curriculum of General education and the basic curriculum are not clearly separated. Therefore, it is necessary to organize the curriculum of General education corresponding to the sub-curriculums in accordance with the objectives of General education. |
