교양교육에서 ‘레토리케’ 교육의 위상 및 의의

Abstract
Rhetorike Education(RE) does not consists only, as superficially known, in training of so called ‘academic skills’. In its classical ideal, it also contributes to ‘general education’ (GE) in the following senses: The ability of critical thinking, literacy and communication, which RE aims at, is the core subject of GE; RE, containing ethos, pathos and logos, contributes to cultivation of wisdom overviewing the whole; GE includes fostering sound view of values and enhancing practical norms realizing them, while those are the main themes in RE.
