Abstract |
In addition to research and technological development, engineer s communication ability through writing is also very important.
Engineering technology is difficult to understand because it uses difficult technical terms.
In particular, software UI should effectively convey the user a lot of information and various interaction situations.
In the liberal arts courses of the university, they teach to raise basic communication skills such as writing and speaking.
Although the engineering college operates a separate writing course for the effective delivery of engineering content, it does not include specific guidelines for writing that are necessary in the practice of various majors.
Therefore, this study proposed four weeks lesson about writing UI text of software from UX design perspective by reflecting characteristics of undergraduate major in writing class in media software department.
The contents of the class consist of UX design and Optimal User Experience, composition of proper information and correct expression, writing text to help user and system interaction, and writing text to help users learn how to use the system.
Students were highly satisfied with the practical aspects of the lecture contents and the method of discussion learning through case studies.
This study can be used as basic data for composition of contents of writing courses of similar department related to media software although it has limit of case study in the specific department. |
