Abstract |
This study’s object is to seek the role and the value of the general education as trans-boundaries in revealing the consideration of the disciplines as trans-thoughts. The general education’s pre-boundary characters can be the horizon of the humanistic introspection as the ‘intentio obliqua’. In the time of the consideration of the limits and divisions with the post-modernistic discourses, the general education can be the base of the relation and coexistence ethic starting from the self-consciousness of the non-divisional existence mode of the world.
The humanistic cognition concerning the languages is the subjective filter to the world. The main limit is therefore not the physical and social one but the cognition itself by the human being. The humanistic introspection is necessary to the acception of the world itself. The humanistic introspection is one of the ethic to surpass the problems issued from the divisions. The general education as trans-boundaries should be the opportunity of the exercises of the humanistic introspection for the non-divisional existence. This is the purpose of our class ‘Reading classics and discussing’.
The class ‘Reading classics and discussing’ is composed of the texts,Waiting for Godot(Beckett), The Ascent of Man(Bronowski), The discourses of the methode(Descartes), for the exercises of the humanistic introspection started from the cognition of the modern limit, i. e. the uncertainty principle. By this exercises, the general education as the field of the humanistic and intrinsic introspection will be succeeded to the social school for the lifelong education. |
