Analysis on academic characteristics in high school and college of First-Year Students Based on Types of Admission - Daejeon H University case

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate academic characteristics of students by university admission types. In order to identify the characteristics in high school and college of students, this study has analyzed the relationship between admission types and students. The subjects (n=317) were students in 2014. The key findings of the current study were as follows. First, there is no significant difference in the high school academic achievement variables between the impact of school education and private tutoring services based on types of admission. There is a difference in the high school academic achievement variables between the impact of school education and private tutoring services in the admission officer system. Second, the higher the impact of after school classes, the higher was the impact of the school classes in the students early decision admission(officer system, academic performance system, and academic aptitude system) and regular admission Na-group. Third, learning difficulty, satisfaction with university education, university academic achievement were no significant differences based on university admission types. Fourth, more than 52% of students by academic aptitude system have transfer plans to other university.
