Writing reading essay case study at the spot of college liberal education

Abstract
College writing education has accomplished great development along with the improvement of college education quality. Many colleges run communication related curriculum as the mandatory course for freshman, and they run communication center to support the curriculum. Writing class in Paichai university is one of such cases. This research provided writing curriculum of Paichai university and the cases of writing class to provide the basis improvement of quality of higher education. Paichai university runs class as the mandatory liberal course for freshman. The purpose of this class is to lead freshman actively to academic community and to adapt into the environment. Through this, they are able to learn writing strategy and rhetoric strategy focusing on problem solving process, and practice it during the class. However, the writing ability of students cannot be improved only by class which is held twice a week, so the school runs to back up the system. In such writing education process, students are able to learn how to think actively and express own opinion. Especially, in academic community, the correction among seniors and junior is not the one-sided voice of professor. Deciding whether or not to listen to other s voice or to receive other s opinion is another method of learning. The satisfaction to such reading essay education is very high. Such case will contribute to future communication education study.
