Student’s perception of ‘Good instruction’ of major and liberal arts subjects

Abstract
According to the change of educational environments in Korea, the new definition of instruction in university and important factors consisted of ‘good instruction’ in universities was asked as well. The present study investigated the various factors of instructions that undergraduate students think as ‘good instruction’ dividing them into major and liberal arts course. For major courses, students indicated that teacher professionalism was a most important factor of ‘good instruction’. For good liberal arts courses, they though course that could provide interest about various fields and methods. But when we asked what is improved for present courses to be ‘good instruction’, they provided the failure of motivation regardless of major and liberal arts courses. The motivation problem in korean educational environment is one of most important issues that we must resolve to make our education better.
