Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of creativity education using a liberal-arts course on achievement motivation, learning flow, self leadership, and communication ability for university students. The experimental 79 subjects were taking part in a course named creativity & problem solving”and 76 subjects from control group were taking part in other liberal art lecture. The experimental design was the pretest-posttest control group design. Experimental treatments on creativity & problem solving”class were composed of the various training and activities for creative products. The data were collected through the scales of achievement motivation, learning flow, self leadership and communication ability. The data collected were analyzed by independent t - test and cronbach s α using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. As a result, achievement motivation, learning flow, self leadership, and communication ability of experimental group were significantly improved. These results provide theoretical and practical implications for the creativity education and core competence of college students. The experimental program applied in this study could be a prototype of creativity education for college students. Also it suggested that the creativity instruction should be more profiled quantitatively as well as qualitatively in universities. |
