딜레마 내러티브를 활용한 토론 수업 방안 연구

Abstract
The rapid increase of interest in debates and debate education has been observed in the last ten years. The debaters that place importance on the communication abilities focus on learning the debate methods and procedures. The ultimate goal of debates is, however, not acquiring effective debate skills. It is needed to devise debate plans to cultivate communication abilities, higher thinking abilities, and ethical imagination. This study thus set out to propose dilemma narrative-based debate plans, which involve appreciating texts containing serious dilemmas and then doing pro-con debates about the subjects. Chapter 2 examined the theoretical backgrounds and expected effects of dilemma debates. Chapter 3 examined what kind of problems would be found in dilemma debates and what solutions would be proper based on the analysis data of actual debates among the students. Dilemma debates help the participants clarify their values and realize that there are opinions different from theirs and that their convictions are not the only answer.
