| Abstract |
|
This field experimental study investigated the positive effect of time management education(independent variable) on self-efficacy, time management behavior, and career preparation behavior. In a experimental design, 103 university students were assigned to an experimental group, and 79 university students were assigned to a control group. An experimental group in the time management education for university students, which consists of 30 hours of time management course and face-to-face feed-back sessions for 15 weeks with the author of this paper. We did not provided time management education to control group. ANCOVA was used as covariate, which showed the effect of time management course as a liberal education on self-efficacy, time management behavior and career preparation behavior.
After five months of time management education, questionnaires were administered again. For control group, there was no difference between before and after measurement for each dependent variable. However, there was statistically significant difference between before and after measurement for experimental group. This result shows that time management education causes increase in the level of self-efficacy, time management behavior and career preparation behavior. |
