Abstract |
This paper attempts to define and clarify the utility of education of philosophy as a model for enhancing of creativity and fundamental learning ability at General Education. More specifically, this paper is a descriptive case study of ‘Western Philosophy: issue and discussion’, developed as a core general course for freshmen at Sejong University. Philosophical thinking and methodology can be usefully applied to the learning model for core competencies which are needed in the smart age. ‘Western Philosophy’ can be defined as a effective program which enhances philosophical thinking by not only using Blended Learning but also taking advantage of various forms of debate tasks. |
