Abstract |
Research activity is one of the essential elements to be enjoyed by an academic community including undergraduate students in higher education, and being capable of research has great significance in the educational roles of universities. However, previous research on ability to research have revealed the limitations in that not only emphasize the outcomes rather than the process itself but also technical rationalism based on the exclusive empirical epistemology. Therefore, this study aims to conceptualize research activity knowledge as an alternative concept of a frame of personal and tacit knowledge which is formed in enjoying the intrinsic value of research during experiencing research process in an internal disciplined way. Through a case study of Undergraduate Student Research in S University, it is confirmed that this research activity knowledge can be shaped by apprenticeship including students enthusiastic practices and guided participation. |
