Abstract
This study provides theoretical background of how to design clinical critical thinking class that can be applied to the general nursing education. This research is descriptive one analysing preceding studies in the fields of nursing education and critical thinking. As the result of this study, it claims that nursing education must be focused on decision-making ability and problem-solving ability to promote critical thinking skills in the clinical circumstances. Thus the nursing class must be designed to facilitate the critical thinking skills related with those abilities, and this study provides an exemplification for that. With this preliminary work, further interdisciplinary research among the specialists in the area of nursing education and critical thinking education should be promoted.
