A study on teaching method of creative writing utilizing conceptual blending

Abstract
Currently writing courses at the University are centered on writing educational goals of increasing the basic communication skills and improving the expressive power of sentences. The direction of these courses is being asked a new change in terms of the human resource development and education associated with the majors. To improve this situation, this study observed ‘creative writing’ for students of various majors also can increase efficiency by taking writing intensive courses. Unlike the stereotype of the biased thinking, creative thinking training course ‘creative writing’ has an effect on the deepening of the process in university writing, as well as to enrich our lives, and students will have to the literacy needed for the convergence of the times. The ‘creative writing’ course should have a systematic framework for these effectiveness in the detailed teaching method. Therefore, this research paid considerable attention to conceptual blending and conceptual metaphor as a theoretical basis of ‘creative writing’. and this study looked at the relationship between writing and creative thinking, the connection between conceptual blending and creativity with conceptual metaphor and the change of metaphorical standpoint. In addition, this paper presented the details of the teaching method in the context of conceptual metaphor and conceptual blending.
