Abstract
This work is about various communication elements and genre resources that should be utilized in order to produce successful technical writing that achieves the communication purposes. First of all, the possibilities of incomplete communication due to the lack of sentence writing ability or the influence of the circumstances of language events are reviewed. Before the visual communication is emphasized in view of conveying the meaning, some features of technical writing as well as technical communication are studied. After genre characteristics such as context, register, text, and discourse community are studied, some strategies for realizing them in text producing are discussed. In order to be able to write successful technical writing, the writers should be able to use various genre resources in text producing.
