Abstract
This study aims to develop the Convergent Liberal Arts Curriculum as an important task of our age and to open a class that as a curriculum subject in Liberal Arts field of the university. The Liberal Arts field have the optimal condition for the interdisciplinary-convergent education on the global citizenship that implies the approaching limit in professional fields. This study presents the concrete aim and direction to promote global citizenship in this curriculum subject, it s structure and operational method, the teaching faculty, and the detailed lecture program of each week. The globalization presents us a urgent task that we must cognize many worldwide problems as our common as well as resolve them as same citizenship together. The subject curriculum developed to meet this task will contribute to foster the global citizenship of students who participate in this lecture. What is the global citizenship? And Where can we learn that spirit? We can confirm the global spirit from historical research on the thoughts of historical persons that have practised global mind in different situations and for various aims. That spirit is the spirit that communicate and empathize global beyond identity of nations and local cultures. Today, The global citizenship consists 3 dimensions of consciousness, responsibility, and participation that pursuit the global common good. The example persons that practise directly the global responsibility are Carlos Ghosn as the CEO of Renaults-Nissan Alliance and Barack Obama as the USA president. And the practicality of the global citizenship contains the competences and values of global communication, universal empathy, and convergent spirit. Through this 3 practical values and competences can we work together to resolve the global problems that threaten the global circumstances.
