Abstract
Convergence knowledge education can be divided into two. One is about inter-disciplinary contents, and the other is through multimedia literacy and activity. The purpose of this article is to search for methodology of convergent education, in which value-teaching in contents and expression-activity in multi-forms are fused. Despite rapid and high Korean economic growth, the polarization of wealth has been more serious than ever. Social quality in substance has dropped owing to high suicide rate, high unemployment rate, soaring house prices, and etc. The middle-class has been destroyed. I think that the reason of financial crisis in 2008 lies in the crisis of morality, which results from the corruption and avarice of elite group. Ordinary people is not exceptional. They realigned themselves with them because they also adored money itself, that is, fetishism. In this situation, I will argue that value-teaching in convergence knowledge education should play a big role in recovering moral sensitiveness to crisis and immorality and regaining socio-cultural sensitivity to value . The values we should get back again are cooperation rather than competition, quality in life rather than efficiency, and human rights rather than property rights shown in European Dreams . Here, it is necessary that multimedia literacy and productive creativity in expression-activity as team projects should be added to express students imaginative ability and raise moral sensibility.
Key Words: value-teaching, expression-activity, convergence knowledge education, the polarization of wealth, Social quality , moral sensitiveness, fetishism
