The alternative search of music basic education to apply philosophical methodology

Abstract
Until now, music education has been applied as confusing practical-oriented music education and music education as of the basic education. Music education of practical-oriented is finesse and functionality centered education. In that respect, function-oriented music education different from music education as the liberal arts basic education. So, if applied incorrectly with mixed feature-oriented music education and music education as liberal arts education, there will be a limit to achieve essential goal of arts education to cultivate creativity. As a result, this will lead to results that do not understand fact that arts education is an artist s thinking process . Thus, feature-oriented music education must be based on the music education of the basic liberal arts education. The purpose of this writing is to apply by methodology of philosophical approach to cultivate the musical imagination in music curriculum as a measure for achieving essential purpose of music education to cultivate creativity.
