Abstract

Youth literature specifically forms the nature of the existence of youth and gives the opportunities for the self-discovery, raising various issues related to the present. In addition, youth literature makes them pursue the genuine life in the future, coping with the present life. It also satisfies the youth’s needs, promoting their understanding about themselves, others and the world. Because of these reasons, youth can strive to prepare their future life and understand the present by the reading of youth literature. Furthermore, they can discover their true self with role models met in literature.
