Abstract
We are undergoing the age of Globalization and Web. N., and witnessing emergence of a new type knowledge, ‘collective intelligence’ powdered by the web environment. It is characterized by: spontaneous participation, collaboration and openness of the users omnipresent. It threatens the ordinary type of knowledge and education characterized by the authenticity, independence and monopolization. We examined the origin, development and whereabout of the collective intelligence and clarified the desirable application model to the high education institution. We found that the ‘new’ global-oriented General Education was more likely to, and have to, accept this revolution and it was the teacher’s part who should change and meet the new wave. We reported several case classes we have done in this context.
Key Words: collective intelligence, e-Learing, liberal education, social media, web 2.0
