Research Trends Analysis in Quality Monitoring of the General Education Using Text Network Analysis

In order to understand the research trends on quality management and improvement in general education in the domestic university setting, we applied Text Network analysis to analyze papers related to general education. As a result, five topics were derived from high frequency word combinations, and from this data we were able to recognize several topics through the primary inter-word network among the topics. In other words, the research conducted on quality management for general education over the last decade involved the following: 1) teaching & learning support, 2) materials and content development, 3) basic subject management, 4) competency-based general education management, and 5) a training section aiming at global leaders. From these findings, we took notice of research trends and important perspectives in the current situation. Following this, we made some suggestions regarding the future direction that further studies should take.
