A study on the analysis of learning process of learning community

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the learning process of the learning community. In order to investigate these experiences, 20 students who attended the learning community positively was selected. The journals that they wrote during 10 weeks of the learning community activities and the transcription of the interviews conducted afterwards were analyzed, categorized, and interpreted. The results of the study were summarized as follows; First, through the learning community, students gained their external motivations from the certification and good grade . In the process of the learning community, students have gained their internal motivations. Second, they recognized the importance of the student leadership in getting a successful learning process. Third, they emphasized the importance of the interaction between students and professors. The results suggest that it may be necessary to develop various learning programs for students learning motivations. The constructivist learning methods presented in the learning community can apply in the university level class. Also it is necessary to provide appropriate online and offline space for interaction in class.
